More Info

For many IU South Bend students, the reality of pursuing a degree means working full time, supporting a family, and having very few resources to fall back on when tough times strike. When an unexpected emergency arises, the IU South Bend Student Emergency Relief Scholarship is a means to bridge the financial gap that may be the difference between a student dropping out, or persisting to graduation.

Provide assistance to students in need for emergency expenses surrounding situations including but not limited to accidents, illness, theft, or damage.

One student’s need:

I have been experiencing car trouble. I have a 1-year-old who I need to get to daycare while I attend class. I also work for a home care service. I use my car to go to clients' homes daily.

With the need for a car repair, this student may not have transportation to attend class or work, resulting in falling behind academically and financially. The IU South Bend Student Emergency Relief Scholarship can assist with expenses like these to keep our Titan Scholars on track.

Help bridge the gap.

Not only will your generosity help students through an emergency in the short term, your commitment to their success will help encourage them to achieve their long term goals at IU South Bend.
