You hear the term “school spirit” all of the time but do you know what that really means? It means having pride in IUPUI. It means having enthusiasm and excitement for being a part of something much bigger than yourself. It means valuing the quality academics, flexible programs and supportive learning environment at IUPUI. IUPUI spirit is the driving force that unites us all in our love and appreciation for IUPUI and all it has to offer.

There are several ways you can show your IUPUI spirit and Jaguar pride: wear your Jag gear, attend a sporting event, renew your commitment to your education, participate in activities and competitions and/or support campus initiatives with a monetary donation.

With its move to NCAA Division I Athletics in 1998, IUPUI adopted the jaguar as its official mascot.

Now, with ferocious determination, IUPUI is taking IUPUI spirit a step further and embarking on a fundraising campaign to unleash a new jaguar – a life-size statue that will deepen jaguar pride, symbolize the university’s strength, confidence and unity, and build on its legacy. The statue will be an iconic representation of the jaguar and serve as a destination for students and visitors alike.
