About Me

My name is Diego Zenizo and I currently live in Nuremberg (Germany) where I work for adidas.

I am very passionate about volunteering, and have undertaken several volunteer projects in the past in places like Ghana, Tanzania, and Uganda doing things like education and construction.

I am now seeking to work with Habitat for Humanity in Malawi from May 9th to 17th by helping them build homes as part of their larger Orphans and Vulnerable Children Project.

I am currently fundraising until April 4th in order to help finance this project. You can donate any amount starting at $10 under the "Make a Donation" button on the right. All proceeds will directly go to covering the project's costs. Donors will also receive receipts for tax purposes.

Join me in my upcoming adventure by becoming a part of this project as well!

More Info

Habitat for Humanity Malawi has served more than 11,000 families with housing solutions. Their work focuses on the Orphans and Vulnerable Children Project, building homes for orphans and their caretakers, as well as providing them with health and legal resources. With safe, decent housing, Malawi’s next generation will be able to remain healthy, receive an education, and experience independence.

Habitat Malawi also works with microfinance lending partners to vet partner families and give technical assistance to new construction and vital repairs.

Global Village is Habitat for Humanity’s international volunteer program. Teams travel to over 40 countries to work alongside communities, build housing solutions, and experience local culture. Our goal is to change the lives of the people we serve, as well as the lives of the volunteers.

About Habitat for Humanity International

Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in more than 1,300 communities throughout the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower. To learn more, visit habitat.org.
