About The Team

Mery, Elizabeth, and Berenice  LaG Alumni in the houze! We know how important the arts can be. All three of us benefitted from arts education and it hands down impacted our lives for the better. Now all our kids are participating in Dance Project of Washington Heights. But we want all kids, regardless of ability to pay, to be able to enjoy dance. We know that on Giving Tuesday many organizations will be reaching out and all will be worthy causes. But we ask you to please consider helping us fundraise for DPWH, a non-profit that supports dance programming in our community and offers pay-what-you-can classes. This pay structure makes dance classes accessible to 650 children who otherwise would not be able to take part in the joy of dance. We are asking our friends to chip in $5 or $10 to help us reach our modest goal or help us surpass it! LaG buddies, will you help?

More Info

Dance Project of Washington Heights is providing something that families have not been able to find anywhere else for their children -

. We are committed to including as many children in the life enriching art of dance as we can, and you are helping us do that.

DPWH is currently serving 520 children, and 100% of them pay reduced tuition.  40% of them pay less than half and many pay less than $5 per class.

We believe that a child's love for dance and their desire to work hard at it should determine their participation, not their ability to pay.

If you believe that too, support a child today.  Sponsor one child for one week, for a month, or for a whole year of classes.  Even $5 will help get us to our goal of $25,000 - that's one class per month for 250 children, or a full semester of dance class for 70 kids.
