I was diagnosed at the age of 27 with a rare gentic disorder which lead to Polycystic Kidney Disease. This is a disease state that consumes the kidney with cysts and leads to Kidney Failure. The only cure is a kidney transplant. I had no known symptoms until July 2018 when I got really sick and hospitalized for Anemia , Dehydration, and Kidney Failure. This changed my life forever.I am in partnership with my Nephrologist in monitoring my disease state with life saving intervention. I can receive a cadaver kidney or a kidney from a live donor. Recieving a kidney from a live donor is the best option.I am on the cadaver transplant list which is 12 to 72 months long. All of this has been a learning process, chartered by my doctors and I.
