As we usher in 2015, I just want to APPRECIATE the many of you who have contributed to CADRE's year-end crowdsourcing campaign and our goal of raising $5,000 and bringing in new donors over the past month! One year ago we were just moving into our new office, and 2014 has since been filled with breakthroughs and reminders that it's all worth it. 2015 will be even better. About The Team
CADRE has been my heart and soul since 1999, when our South Central living-room roots gave birth to an office and full-time operation two years later. Vision to reality has been a profound journey, and to see where CADRE is today - sometimes I am speechless. The power of belief, faith, and giving whatever it is you have is reaffirmed every day - by our core parent leaders, our enthusiastic incoming parent members, our staff, our Board...and by you, our donors. At CADRE our mission is to solidify and advance parent leadership to ensure that all children are rightfully educated regardless of where they live. In operation since 2001, CADRE has matured from our South LA living-room roots to become a trusted parent organization locally, statewide, and nationally. CADRE has won policy changes in 2007, 2013, and 2014 that have led to historic reductions in LAUSD’s student suspensions and to new approaches for positive, restorative school discipline and climate.
