About Me

I'm a freshman at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, double majoring in Economics and Political Sciences. I've done community outreach before but never one on a scale this large. I'm extremely excited about this prospect and hope that you will join me on this project to help this community. Even 10 dollars makes a huge difference.

More Info

In the wake of the earthquakes in Nepal, we need to work together more than ever to provide pathways to permanence for the families affected. My Global Village team is one of six traveling to Nepal this fall to build safe and strong homes with Habitat for Humanity.

We invite you to join our team in partnering with disaster-affected families as they begin their recovery of their lives and livelihoods in their communities. Your donation will help Habitat build more permanent homes sooner.

Habitat’s Disaster Work in Nepal

Habitat for Humanity plans to help 20,000 families in cooperation with the government of Nepal and humanitarian agency partners. With the help of partners and volunteers, Habitat will remove rubble, distribute emergency shelter kits, and build transitional and permanent shelters.

Global Village is Habitat for Humanity’s international volunteer program. Our trips are designed to immerse, educate, and serve. Your team will meet local Habitat staff and homeowners, catch an intimate glimpse of their everyday, and help improve an urgent housing issue.

Habitat for Humanity International is a global nonprofit Christian housing organization that seeks to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. Since 1976, Habitat has created more than 600,000 housing solutions by welcoming people of all races, religions and nationalities to construct, rehabilitate or preserve homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
