Abuela Ligia needs our help!

From Dreja Ragone

My family and I are trying to raise money to get our Abuela Ligia out of Venezuela. Our grandma is currently 81-years-old and suffers from high blood pressure and advanced Alzheimer's Disease.

Update #1

Abuela Ligia is currently living with a caretaker, Keyla, who takes great care of her despite the extreme lack of resources. They currently have no electricity or running water, access to medications and limited food due to the humanitarian crisis currently striking Venezuela. Her children and family have been supporting her by sending packages with food, medications, clothes and toiletries for her and her caretaker. Unfortunately the political situation continues to make it harder and harder for her to receive anything from outside of the country.
We have tried to get her out of Venezuela before unsuccessfully, and unfortunately her VISA (to travel to the USA) is expired and unable to be renewed due to the consulate being closed indefinitely.
Our goal is to be able to get her out of Venezuela as soon as possible and over to Colombia where some of her children live and will take of her for the rest of her days.
We ask that you consider donating towards her travel expenses to get her out of the very unhealthy and unsafe situation that she is currently in. Any help is much appreciated and will go strictly towards getting her to safety.

Thank you for taking the time to read and consider helping our beloved Abuela.

Have a blessed day!
