The Arc of King County is excited to announce its 2nd Annual 5k at Greenlake Park Saturday, October 17th, 2015!

Creating an inclusive event for families and individuals of ALL abilities!

The Arc of King County invites families throughout King County to join us to raise awareness and funds in support of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at our 2nd Annual 5k for Inclusion! This non-competitive, fully inclusive event is for everyone - all ages and all abilities are encouraged to participate! Our goal is to raise $10,000 to continue creating a inclusive community for all! We can't wait to see you there!

WHEN: Saturday, October 17th 2015. Check In begins at 8:00am, 5K Run/Walk begins at 9:00am!

 About The Arc of King County

Established in 1936, The Arc of King County is the oldest local nonprofit organization serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Intellectual and developmental disabilities include Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, cognitive disabilities, and other similar conditions, which occur prior to the age of 18 and are expected to last throughout an individual’s lifetime. The Arc promotes self-sufficiency and civil rights for people with disabilities through community partnerships, support services, peer support and advocacy. The Arc of King County envisions a world where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities thrive as equal, valued and active members of the community. We put people first, and advocate for individuals to have choices and opportunities to live the life of their dreams. We believe in inclusion because what we want for ourselves, we want for everyone.

REGISTRATION BREAKDOWN:

Registration is FREE for all individuals & teams and is open until Friday, October 16th! Your registration includes access to pre & post event festivities including information booths, snacks, activities, and more!

A minimum of $25 raised per person to receive a 5k for Inclusion t-shirt.

A minimum of $100 raised per person to receive a 5k for Inclusion water bottle.

Not sure what to do? Really want that t-shirt? Simply raise $25 and the t-shirt is yours! Raising money is easy with your personalized online fundraising page. To participate, follow these 3 easy steps:

  • Register for the 5k for Inclusion: Family Fun Run, Walk & Roll to save your spot!
  • Log on to your fundraising page and invite your friends and family to make donations to benefit The Arc of King County. A fundraising page will automatically be created for you when you register.
  • Feel like raising more money? Great prizes will be awarded to our top three fundraisers! Check them out below! The deadline for fund-raising will be October 17th, 2015.

Once you've registered - be sure to sign into your account and use your personal page to fundraise by sending out emails and posting to your Social Media profiles!

REGISTER AS A TEAM:

Create a team to help raise money with your friends, family, and co-workers! Let's see which team leaves the largest footprint in our fundraising efforts. The Team Captain must register first and create the team, then start recruiting members to join that team. A team is comprised of 2 to 15 individuals. Members of the team qualify for both individual and team prizes. All members of the team will receive an individual fundraising page, and the team will have a fundraising page tracking all funds raised by the team.

Fundraising is easy with your personalized Fundraising Page. You can personalize your page and send emails to all your animal loving friends to get their support for your fundraising efforts!

** Individual members of a team will earn their free T-shirt when they each individually reach a personal fundraising amount of $25.

 Prizes will be awarded for Top Fundraisers!

2nd: Road Runner Sports Shoe Certificate

* This is a Family Fun Run with No Chip Timing and No Street Closures.
