Summary
Saturday, August 14; A massive 7.2. earthquake ravaged the south of Haiti. To date, over 2,000 people have been confirmed dead and thousands more remain missing. Over 80% of the homes in many towns have been severely damaged, with thousands of people left homeless and in dire need of emergency supplies. We are working closely with our partners on the ground to get emergency support to them in this time of need. Your donation will help provide emergency relief, water, food, medicine, and shelter in Haiti.
Challenge
The earthquake has caused widespread damage, overrun hospitals, damage roads, homes and facilities are in dire need. In some places there are still aftershock being felt. As learned from the 2010 earthquake, it is vital to get funds and supplies to locally-led communities most impacted providing both emergency relief as well as long-term recovery.
Solution
Our goal is to collect funds to provide hygiene kits, ( food, soap, detergent sanitary napkins, toothpaste, water purification tablets and Clorox), solar lamps. We hope to support local vendors by purchasing goods locally. We at Bright Lite Charity have connection with locals in many regions in Haiti to support long-term recovery efforts in the impacted areas.
How Your Donation Will Be Used
When you donate to our 2021 Haiti Earthquake Relief Campaign, your donation will be used to:
· Provide - food, water, and emergency medical supplies, hygiene supplies, clorox.
· Support temporary relief and emergency supplies for displaced families.
