UPDATE 3/24/2020

In an effort to do our part to “flatten the curve” and keep our communities safe from Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Rehab and Beyond Comeback Trail Atlanta 5K which was scheduled to take place on May 2, 2020 at the Emory Brain Health Center.

At this time, a rescheduled date has not been determined and we will share more information about our plans in the coming weeks.

Off the heels of a successful "Get Healthy, Get Social" Game Day Fundraiser, Rehab and Beyond will host the 2020 Comeback Trail Atlanta 5K/1 Mile benefiting low-income stroke and brain injury survivors on May 2, 2020 on the campus of Emory Brain Health Center at Executive Park. In recognition of stroke awareness month, Rehab and Beyond has taken over hosting duties from the National Stroke Association and will deliver an inspiring event for Georgia’s Stroke and Brain Injury community that is full of fitness, fun, food, education, music, vendors, crafts, games, prizes and more!

The 2020 Comeback Trail Atlanta 5K/1 Mile will also feature the inaugural ‘Rehab and Beyond Champions Stroll’, a modified wheelchair and assisted device friendly celebratory processional recognizing all participating survivors.

Proceeds from the 2020 Comeback Trail Atlanta 5K/1 Mile will fund the Rehab and Beyond Support of System of Care, including the Rehab Training Scholarship Program (RTS) that provides life-changing physical and cognitive rehabilitation to low-income stroke and brain injury survivors at no cost.

Event proceeds will also help to supply survivors with group support, financial assistance and medical equipment when they need it the most.Stroke is the leading cause of adult disability in the United States.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that stroke costs the U.S. an estimated $34 billion each year; Brain Injury rehabilitation is estimated to costs $9 to $10 billion each year.

On this scenic route, grab a picture in front of the official training and practice facility of the Atlanta Hawks at the Emory Sports Medicine Complex and view the future home of the Emory Musculoskeletal Institute.

Become a fundraiser, create a team, and help us achieve our $20,000 fundraising goal for the chance to win a $500 gift card courtesy of Kroger Grocery Stores. Top 3 winners will be announced on race day!
