We are now past 80% of our $3000 goal! We can't thank all our donors enough for the support we've been given thus far.

More Info

OUR HISTORY Seismic Sound Drumline was first created in 2018 under the umbrella of The Seattle All-City Marching Band. Our ensemble was lead and taught by percussionists from around the Seattle area, all volunteers with various drumming, marching, and teaching experience. Volunteers shared with us their experiences from groups such as...

  • College: UW Husky Marching Band, Seattle U Drumline, K-State Marching Band
  • DCI: Seattle Cascades, Eruption
  • WGI/Independent: Oregon Crusaders Indoor, Eruption Indoor, Breakthrough Percussion
  • Professional: Sounders FC Band, Seahawks Blue Thunder Drumline

This year, we established ourselves as an independent group and officially registered as a non-profit with 501(c)3 status! A heartfelt thank you to all who have and continue to support us in our endeavors.

OUR MISSION Seismic Sound Drumline strives to provide a safe, accessible, and diverse environment for members to improve as musicians, performers, and individuals within the community. Through strong structure, low student-to-staff ratios, and high energy, we create a space where students are able to have fun while receiving adequate guidance for growth. Seismic Sound incorporates various aspects found in college marching bands, professional sports drumlines, and DCI/WGI ensembles in order to broaden skill sets and cultural perspectives.

We keep our participation tuition significantly low compared to other ensembles to increase accessibility regardless of economic status/background. Music and marching provides many useful life skills as well as lifelong friendships: things that the Seismic Sound Staff find incredibly important to all.

WHERE WE STAND Building and growing an ensemble unfortunately requires a substantial amount of money, despite unpaid volunteers. Costs stem from rehearsal facilities, insurance, instrument rental, event participation fees, performance gear, and various other supplies. A large portion is paid for through student tuition fees, however, it is not in full as we keep our tuition rates very low. Without adequate funds, our ability to support the students and provide high-quality experiences becomes restricted.

HOW YOU CAN HELP Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated, and every little bit counts! Not sure where to start? Here are some suggestions:

  • $15 is worth a student's uniform shirt or a set of sticks/gloves
  • $40 is worth one month of a student's tuition
  • $100 is worth an event participation fee
  • $200 is worth a day of rehearsal space
  • $240 is worth a student's season tuition in full
  • $500 is worth a year of ensemble insurance

Our primary funding goal is $3000 for maintaining affordable student tuition fees, acquiring adequate rehearsal space, and renting instruments. Any amount that exceeds this goal will go towards paying event participation fees, supporting following seasons, and purchasing our own set of instruments in the near future.

Thank you for your support!
